No winner in an exciting handball night in Pancevo
After PPD Zagreb’ draw against Dinamo (28:28) on Wednesday night in Pancevo, we now finally officially have our SEHA - Gazprom F4 semi-final pairs with Vardar meeting Meshkov Brest and PPD Zagreb facing off against Celje Pivovarna Lasko. PPD Zagreb however weren’t far from suffering a surprising loss in what was their final SEHA away match of the season with the best individual of the game today Ivan Dimitrijevic, unfortunately for home-team fans, committing a turnover only a few seconds before the final whistle.
Dinamo’s experienced back-line Zujovic – Dimitrijevic - Mirkovic made ‘Lions’ struggle a lot in opening twenty minutes of the game keeping hosts up by three. However, after Zlatko Saracevic’ time-out, things started functioning better for Croatian champs who were able to close the gap until the half time break.
Guests opened the second half better quickly enlarging the gap to three only for Dinamo Pancevo to close it again at 22:22 in only a matter of few minutes. Match entered a narrow finish in which Petar Zujovic managed to put his team up by one (28:27) little less than 90 second before the final whistle, and Valentino Ravnic leveled it back again only a few seconds later with a goal which obviously decided everything as hosts failed to convert in what was the final attack of the game. Josip Bozic Pavletic led PPD Zagreb today with six goals.
