NEXE prolong winning series against Metalurg

Nexe

NEXE have, with 32:27 win over Metalurg, managed to prolong what already was their best after SEHA -Gazprom League start. Three rounds into the season NEXE already have nine points sitting on top of League’s standings along with Vardar.

Considering all the problems Macedonian vice-champions have been and are still dealing with at the moment, it was kind of realistic to expect for NEXE to reach a new triumph in Skopje. Apart from Kuzmanovski as well as injured Velkovski and Jagurinovski, coach Brestovac this time could not really count on Mario Tankoski either as he got injured ten minutes into the encounter and never returned to the match.

Except for opening 15 minutes NEXE were able to stay in control throughout the full course of the game even leading with five goals on several occasions. When hosts managed to narrow the gap to only one about ten minutes prior to the final whistle it seemed as if they might have a chance to fully get back into this one but there was simply not strength left in them to turn this one upside down with NEXE sailing towards a clear five-goal advantage in final minutes.

Sasa Barisic Jaman scored eight for NEXE, Marin Sipic added five. Goalkeeper Car had 11 saves. Halil Jaganjac and Martin Serafimov on the other hand scored seven each for Metalurg.
