Metaloplastika have on Thursday evening celebrated their second SEHA - Gazprom League win of the season defeating Spartak 27:23 (12:15). Russians were able to control the encounter throughout it's bigger part but Veselin Vukovic’ guys finished the match furiously turning the result completely in their favor in the last 15 minutes. Their goalkeeper Todor Jandric was also a big factor in the run conceding only two goals in the final quarter finishing the match with 15 saves. A little over 15 minutes before the final buzzer guests were 19:21 up but that’s when Todor Jandric built a wall on his goal providing his wingers Viktor Maticic and Aleksa Kljajic with numerous opportunities to score easy goals. A few minutes later Metaloplastika were already 24:22 with hosts trying to calm things down with a time-out but unfortunately for them – that didn’t help at all. Left back Alexander Dereven managed to bring his team only one goal behind at 24:23 but what happened after that was home-team’s match-sealing 3:0 series. Kljajic (8) and Maticic (7) were the best scorers for Metaloplastika in this one while Dereven netted seven for visitors.
