Kosmodemyansky: “Dedication will be the key if we want to defeat PPD Zagreb!“

Spartak

In a postponed round 4 match, PPD Zagreb will on Wednesday (19.00 CET) in Dom sportova 2 sports hall welcome Spartak.

Match is coming in a pretty good moment for Croatian champions who have during the weekend managed to reach their premier VELUX EHF Champions League win of the season defeating Elverum at home. Coach Vujovic and his players will most certainly look to use this one to prepare for what's waiting for them in Szeged in what will be their final Champions League group stage match before the winter break.

Spartak have on the other hand in their last SEHA encounter suffered a defeat in Sabac and they will give their best to try and steal some points against the “Lions“ who are still recovering from the match against the Norwegians and don't have a lot of time to prepare for Szeged.

Veselin Vujovic, PPD Zagreb coach:
Although we are quite tired after the match against Elverum, there is no other scenario for us than to win this match. We’ll play with our best roster because we want to finish on the best possible position in our Group B. They have a good team with several quality individuals like Radojevic and Dereven. If we add they are playing the match in a true Russian style then it’s clear we have a tough one ahead but I assure you we’ll do our best to win it.

Josip Eres, PPD Zagreb player:
They are rookies in this season’s edition of SEHA League but they have several great players, Russian national team players. We have to approach this match with respect and caution, focused on our performance. If we play the way we did against Elverum we should be able to reach the win without any major problems.

Vladislav Kosmodemiansky, Spartak coach:
We arrived here with an intention to defeat our famous rivals. Of course, this won’t be an easy task but our team is full of ambitions! I think the right mood will help us achieve our goals. Dedication is the key for our victory!

Artem Zaycev, Spartak player:
Match against PPD Zagreb will be a real test for our team because we’ll be able to get some really good, international experience. The final result depends on us. Our goal is to show that we can win this match!
