From the very first minute Vojvodina’s defensive block with Goran Trkulja and Dusko Celica was functioning amazing and was by that heavily supported by Svetislav Verkic who finished the match with remarkable 18 saves while youngsters Milic and Nikolic led the attack securing guests a three-goal lead after opening 30 minutes.

Hosts opened the second half better but weren’t able to keep up the tempo with Verkic scoring his first of the night after Zeleznicar attempted to endanger Vojvodina with a powerplay action to seal the deal at 14:22 a little less than 15 minutes before the final whistle as it was well obvious home team had no strength to cut the gap and get back into this one after that.
