Did shock therapy work for Vojvodina?

Vojvodina - Metalurg 12 (14/15)

After a shock therapy and departure of head coach Bosko Rudic, Serbian vice champions are in desperate need of success in the upcoming SEHA - Gazprom League match against Metalurg Skopje scheduled for Wednesday (17.45 CET). Hosts will be coached by Rudic’ assistant Dragan Kukic whose goal will be to help Vojvodina reach premier win in SEHA League’s seventh season as they are still the only team which was not able to do that in opening three rounds.

Macedonian runners-up are on the other side coming to Slana bara after a convincing CL defeat against Montpellier and with a wish to wash the bitter taste with another win on Serbian soil as they were a few weeks ago better than Dinamo in Pancevo.

Milan Mirkovic, Vojvodina assistant coach:
Match is coming in a bit unpleasant moment for us as our coach Bosko Rudic just got sacked. But, we have what we have and must go on. Nobody really expected such a bad season opening, we all believe we’re playing way under our possibilities. However, we are about to face a tough match and our goal is to try to deliver our maximum. Metalurg have three key players and those are goalkeeper Arsic, playmaker Andjelic and line player Pesevski. It is up to us to step up our game and give our best!

Todor Jandric, Vojvodina goalkeeper:
First of all, I would like to say that I appreciate the fact staff decided to give me a chance to experience SEHA League. I’m sure I’ll use it in the best possible way. Match against Metalurg is coming in a bit difficult moment for us as our season began quite badly. We will try to improve and I hope fans will be there for us despite of everything.

Lino Cervar, Metalurg Skopje coach:
We have to be very careful against Vojvodina. We know they are a quality team. We must not be relaxed and be ready to fight from the very first until very last moment in order to reach our goal and win. We have two wins in a row and we’d like to prolong that. Every match is important for our young team to rise. We are growing, getting to see what the team is capable of, but there is a lot of work ahead of us.

Zarko Pesevski, Metalurg Skopje line-player:
We’ve had a tough match in Montpellier and now we’re traveling to Novi Sad to meet Vojvodina. Their most recent bad performances won’t fool us, we know they are a quality team. We’re in good form after the match in Pancevo and our goal is to keep it that way.

Match will be broadcasted on EHF TV, Arena Sport channels, Sport TV (Slovenia) and MRT (Macedonia).
