Spartak looking to stun in Našice after a loss in Serbian derby

Nakon lokalnog derbija s Vojvodinom, Spartak dolazi u Našice bez bijele zastave

Nexe - Spartak Vojput

Team from Našice will on Saturday (19.00 CET) get back to SEHA Gazprom League after a loss in EHF' Cup where they were kicked out of competition by French Nantes. They will, as Croatian vice-champions meet Serbian colleagues Spartak who are currently positioned ninth. NEXE have already stated their goal and that is to reach League's Final tournament and in order to do that they have to come out as winners from matches like this. Croats are clear favorites against guys from Subotica especially knowing they were with 6 goal difference better than Spartak in Serbia. However, focus and motivation are certainly required in order to achieve positive result.

Zdenko Kordi, NEXE's coach:

Nantes and EHF Cup are behind us. We must always look forward so we will continue with our appearances in SEHA Gazprom league. We know them well and I can say thay've made a step forward for whole Serbian handball. We respect them but I believe our performance will decide the match.

Mislav Nenadić, NEXE's player:

Matches against Nantes and trip were pretty exhausting. Interesting is that we'll finally play a match in SEHA League where we're not underdogs and we have to start proving it from the very beginning. We have only two more matches at home by Christmas so I expect audience to come and support us like they did so far this season.

Branislav Zeljković,  Spartak Vojput's coach:

Match against Vojvodina was tough for us and unfortunately we did not reach what we wanted to. We will noe have to show our quality against NEXE and I can say I am glad we'll play against a team which is really well trained playing modern fast-slowing handball. They do have a better roster than we do but surely we won't come to Našice with a white flag. Distol and Basarić will probably not be available for selection due to minor problems but we'll have to manage without them.

Marko Perović, Spartak Vojput's player:

Very tough match is ahead of us against a team which has already proven to be able to compete against the best. I expect us to play a good game, show fighting spirit and try to achieve best possible result mostly with good defense. We were not on required level in our first encounter in Subotica so I expect us to show what we really can.
