Untouchable Veszprem, Vardar, Zagreb and Vojvodina in domestic championships

After the end of SEHA Gazprom League's fourth season clubs have turned towards domestic championship challenges in order to reach regional competition next season too.

HUNGARY: Veszprem are top positioned after 8 out of 10 rounds still without a lost point beating their main rivals PICK Szeged with 29:24. In case they manage not to lose with a bigger difference in Szeged in little more than a week they will reach final series from the first place which will give them home court advantage in it.

BELARUS: Meshkov are holding situation under control although they have lost in a tough away match against SKA in Minsk - 33:30. However, they have 2 points and 2 matches less played than SKA as well as home match against them ahead which gives them right to hope for another crown.

CROATIA: Zagreb is, as always, dominating. In League 6 they have 4 wins from 4 matches. Fight for No. 2 is however getting interesting with SEHA's participant NEXE losing in Poreč 29:27. In case you also consider the fact that NEXE still have a tough away match against Varaždin ahead of them, which they have managed to beat with only +3 at home, you get most interesting second-place race in last few years for sure.

MACEDONIA: Vardar is clearly dominating, without a loss. However, Zomimak Strumica are creating a lot of trouble to weakend Metalurg in race for second place. Metalurg have managed to reach a narrow 22:21 victory in Skopje which means that the decision will be made in Strumica. Coach Červar's new problem is Marko Neloski' knee injury which will probably keep him away from the court in the remaining part of the season.

SLOVAKIA: Povaszka Bistrica have after a long time managed to beat Tatran which is despite of that leading 2:1 in semifinal series played on 3 wins. Same result is currently also in the second semi where Hlohovec is leading Topolčani. Tatran are of course main favorites, they will play final play-offs from first place giving them home court advantage in eventual fifth match.

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA: League part of the season is over. Izviđač are champions and they will play Borac in final series (first to reach 3 victories wins) in order to decide Bosnian representative in regional competitions for the next season.

SERBIA: Vojvodina are dominating League 6 already having 5 point advantage ahead of second-positioned Spartak. It seems like champion has already been decided but fight for number 2 continues. In Serbian Superliga current situation is Vojvodina 10, Spartak 5, Jugović 4, Metaloplastika 4, Radnički 3, Partizan 3. Narrow season ending surely is ahead of us.
