Tatran's hope for third place lives on after win against NEXE

Tatran Prešov - Nexe 9 14/15

Tatran have in SEHA GSS League's round 15, as expected, managed to beat Croatian vice-champions NEXE. Big +6 after first 30 minutes, 32:25 in the end. NEXE have played a good match although this match came between two tought EHF's Cup matches and considering the fact they have traveled to Slovakia without their coach Kordi who was because of health problems forced to stay at home. This result means that Tatran remain in race for League's third place and that NEXE will look to take wins in upcoming matches and catch Metalurg on sixth place.

Kristopans was not in Tatran's roster which means best players today were Rabek and Antl. NEXE's best player of the match was goalie Juzbašić. In the next round NEXE will host Metalurg and Tatran will travel to Brest.

Peter David, Tatran's coach:

I can say I am satisfied with the match and our performance. We've missed Kristopans and were forced to change some things but in my opinion it turned out good. We've reached the win, that's most important.

Tomas Urban, Tatran's player:

We can be satisfied with the win. We've opened the match well, played really good in the second half and in the end goalkeeper Verkić has given us confidence boost and we've managed to finish the match and reach 3 points.

Mirko Krolo, NEXE's conditioning coach:

We've given everyone a chance and it turned out well. This was preparation for us ahead of the match against Guif in EHF's Cup waiting for us.

Martin Juzbašić, NEXE's goalkeeper:

I can say this was a good match for us, I believe coach Kordi, who we've missed, will say the same thing. We did not let Tatran decide the match too early, in the second half we've tried to raise the tempo but they were better today.
