MKB MVM Veszprem simply too strong for NEXE

Veszprem odlučio pobjednika u Osijeku u prvom poluvremenu

Nexe - Veszprem 2 14/15

Veszprem have, in Osijek in Gradski vrt sports hall, against NEXE managed to keep their clear winning streak alive beating hosts with 37:21 making this their 14th win of the season. NEXE were able to keep up with simply toostrong guests for less than 10 minutes after which Veszprem made 5:0 series creating advantage which was too big for the team from Našice to catch. Even before the half time whistle Hungarians have managed to create double digit lead which says much of their domination in today's match.

Veszprem's advantage was slowly rising during the second half too giving coach Ortega chance to give all of his players minutes except Mirko Alilović who has recently returned to roster after WCh in Qatar. It is also important to state that there was really no need for Alilović to enter the match because Mikler was outstanding with 19 saves.

Zdenko Kordi NEXE's coach:

Veszprem have showed how good they are. I hope no one will think my players did not want to win - rival was today simply to strong. Match was decided early but this was usefull for us because many tough matches are waiting for us in the upcoming months and there is no better way to prepare.

Karlo Oroz, NEXE's left wing:

You cant' say it was a good match when you lose at home with -16. We must forget the match, we do not have enough time to make analysis. We must prepare well for upcoming matches.

Carlos Perez Ortega, Veszprem's coach:

We've started the match with 5-1 defense, and NEXE opened good in attack. After that they've made some mistakes, we've managed to steal a few balls and decided the match in the first half.  It was an important match for us, to prepare for Champions League.

Renato Sulić, Veszprem's line player:

We were playing a very good match but not on our top level. We've tried some things like 5-1 defense. Important match for us to prepare for upcoming CL's challenges.
