Leaders eager to keep the winning streak alive in Osijek

Vodeća momčad želi u Osijeku nastaviti pobjednički niz

MKB-MVM Veszprem - Radnicki 2 (14/15)

Osijek will on Saturday host a big handball event with NEXE hosting Veszprem and PPD Zagreb playing Vardar later on. Current leaders are coming to Osijek with 13 wins from 13 matches wishing to keep the winning streak alive. For NEXE this will be second match this year in the League. They have already lost in Skopje against Metalurg. It won't be easy for the team from Našice to face a team which is not only main candidate for SEHA GSS crown but also for the crown of the best team in Europe.

Zdenko Kordi, NEXE's coach:

- We expect tough rhytm in this match. Unfortunatelly Marin Vegar will not play due to an injury. Considering our opponents, I believe they are one of the best if not the best team in Europe. They are clear favorites and I believe it will be great for spectators to see such good players and hopefully an interesting match.

Krešo Tomas, NEXE's line player:

We will play against one of the best teams in Europe which says enough about who is favorite. They are a great team but I believe we'll be able to keep close , we have 6 months of experience behind us from our last clash. We'll also use this match to prepare for EHF's Cup which is waiting us right after it.

Antonio Carlos Ortega,  MKB-MVM Veszprem coach:

I guess this will be a completely different, more difficult match than the first one, because that was one of the first matches for NEXE. Since then they have changed some players and became stronger. They play two good defences so I guess will have to play good in order to win.

Gergo Ivancsik, MKB-MVM Veszprem's left wing:

I am sure that it will more difficult to play them now than at the beginning of the season. We must not understimate Croatian vice-champions. Some of our players have lately returned from Qatar and clearly we'll need some time to reach our best form. It will be great to play some quality matches in SEHA GSS League in order to catch that good old form faster.
