Metalurg to host NEXE in SEHA GSS League's first match in 2015

Металург домаќин на Нексе, но неизвесно со кој тим

Metalurg Nexe

Current Macedonian champions will in League’s first match of the year on Sunday, 20.15 CET host Croatian vice-champions NEXE in a match which was postponed on Metalurg’s request. Macedonians did not have much time to prepare for the clash because many of their players were having national team duties in last few weeks playing for Macedonia on WCh in Qatar.

Metalurg’s financial problems are unfortunately still alive which means it is still not sure which players will on Sunday face NEXE in ‘Boris Trajkovski’ hall. It is also not clear yet if coach Červar will lead his team or wil Aleksandar Jović who was leading their recent trainings take his place in a match against NEXE.

Both teams are far away from the TOP 4 but their matches were always great to watch and it is interesting that NEXE have never lost a match in Macedonian capital. During the winter-break two new players have arrived to Našice, new-old Saša Barišić Jaman from Austrian Leoben and Croatian junior national team player, left winger Karlo Oroz joining NEXE from Spačva Vinkovci.

Metalurg have also decided to keep the entrance free for tomorrow’s match probably because they are aware they will need their supporters in order to reach a new win in SEHA GSS League.

Goce Ojleski, Metalurg’s player:

‘’This is our first official game in 2015. We’re prepared, and no matter which team we’ll play with tomorrow our main goal is victory. We know NEXE are a good team with a lot of great players but I repeat, or only goal is victory!’’

Zdenko Kordi, NEXE’s coach:

'' I believe we have prepared well for the 'spring part' of the season and the most important thing is that all players are ready and there are no injuries. We will on Sunday play against a great rival. We know for their financial problems but still we respect them fully. Our goal is to play a good match and to show everyone what we were working on during the last couple of weeks.''

Luka Sokolić, NEXE’s player:

‘’We will play against almost complete Macedonian national team. We are aware of the fact that we have never lost a match in Skopje against them but in order to do that again we'll have to give our maximum and see if that will be enough. ''
