NEXE overtake regular season top spot with a win against Vojvodina

Nexe-Voj

Croatian vice-champions NEXE Nasice have once again provided their fans with a reason to celebrate defeating Vojvodina Novi Sad with 29:23 (15:9) for what is now their sixth victory in opening seven rounds of the SEHA season which helped them overtake regular season pole position as they have the same amount of points as Zagreb but they defeated the 'Lions' in the season opener in Nasice!

NEXE started sailing away in the middle of the first despite of the fact Vojvodina's goalie Bojan Perovic was shining with two counter-attack saves against Ivan Vida being nothing but icing on the cake of his quality performance. That was however far from enough for guests to endanger NEXE on Wednesday evening. It is also interesting we've had the chance to see Marin Jelinic play as he finally managed to recover from an injury.

In the second half NEXE were able to keep the gap open. Guests managed to narrow it to only three with a bit more than five minutes left until the final buzzer but that was just as close as they could come in this one. Marko Buvinic netted nine for NEXE while Milos Grozdanic scored seven for Vojvodina. Bojan Perovic grabbed 14 saves and scored two goals while Mihailo Radovanovic stopped 11 shots for NEXE.
