NEXE confident against weakened Steaua
NEXE have on Friday evening celebrated their fifth win in what was their sixth regional league encounter so far this season defeating Romanian representatives Steaua Bucharest 28:23 (12:11). This was Steaua’s first time in Nasice but they clearly won’t remember it by good as they arrived in Croatia with only 10-man roster due to a tough injury situation they’re dealing with at the moment and it obviously wasn’t enough for them to endanger Croatian vice-champions. Situation didn’t really get any easier for coach Mihaila and his lads after Mihai Becheru got ejected a little less than five minutes prior to the half-time whistle. Guests however refused to surrender but they were simply not able to keep up the tempo with NEXE in the second as hosts confidently cruised towards new three points. Former NEXE’s player Marin Vegar finished the match as the best scorer netting seven goals for Steaua while Tomi Vozab scored six for NEXE.
