Nexe and Vardar join forces for a great cause

After Tatran Presov, another club to join the action of donating books are the reigning SEHA- Gazprom League and European champions- Vardar. The Macedonian club donated 265 books on Macedonian to help in promotion of good links between the Croatian and Macedonian communities in the area.

A lot of important people were present during the donation, including Josip Ergovic, the president of Handball Club Nexe. He was quick to praise the whole event: "Thanks to SEHA- Gazprom League, this is the first we had a chance to play a team that are the current champions of Europe. They are on a good path to repeat that success and I wish them good luck. We are lucky to be here with you, and I would like to thank you in the name of ourselves, our city and our library on this donation. This is just one of the examples how we can use sport to promote our city, our country and positively affect on the cooperation of our nations. We have to continue doing that", said Ergovic.

Marko Savovski, operational manager of Handball club Vardar was there to represent the Macedonian champions and commented on the action: "Like you know, we have a great handball relationship with Nexe. We were happy to take part in this action, to donate books from both Macedonian and foreign authors to the City library in Nasice. The club was able to donate over 260 books and I hope this action will help the Macedonian people living in the area."

Dragoljub Sijanoski, the president of the Macedonian cultural society was glad to see the link between sport and local community working so well: "I would like to thank Vardar for donating the books, and Handball Club Nexe for starting this initiative. You have become the ambassadors of our two countries and promoters of sport, and also culture. I want to encourage other clubs and sport people to join you in helping to preserve the local cultures."
