Lino Cervar, Metalurg coach:
We’ve played a good match and we deserved to win it. I have to congratulate my players on delivering two quality performances in a row. I mean, we can play even better than this but I can say I’m satisfied. Defense can improve but we’re playing good zone defense I believe. It is now time to focus on upcoming both CL and SEHA challenges.

Filip Kuzmanovski, Metalurg player:
We’ve today proved that good defense win matches. Good thing is that after the match against Vardar we’ve managed to make attack function better. In Pancevo we’ve proved we can win matches, just like we did today against Nexe. Main goal is to catch good form for CL through SEHA League matches. It is now time to prepare for match against Montpellier in Champions League.

Hrvoje Horvat, Nexe coach:
First of all I’d like to congratulate Metalurg and especially coach Cervar who has once again proved he can bring 150% out of his players. We’ve known they will play aggressive defense and try to set their tempo. I feel like some of my players had a bit too much respect and pressure playing against Metalurg and coach Cervar. Their both discipline in attack and aggressiveness in defense were key in today’s match. We now have to keep on training with Metalurg exposing all of our weaknesses today.

Marin Sipic, Nexe player:
Well-deserved win for Metalurg. We were clearly a weaker team on the court today with Metalurg playing tough defense. Our defense was on the other side not good, we’ve allowed their pivot to score too many goals today. Our defense was simply too wide. I repeat, well-deserved win for them today.
