Leaders Vardar come to Nasice

Lider Vardar u Našicama

Vardar - Tatran

Another great handball experience in Nasice. NEXE will on Sunday 23rd of October in King Tomislav sports hall welcome SEHA Gazprom leaders Vardar. Team from Skopje is on Croatian tour and will visit Nasice after a narrow 28:27 loss against PPD Zagreb in Champions League. NEXE are on the other side in a great mood after a big win against favored Meshkov which also came to Nasice after the match in Zagreb. Marin Sakic will miss the match due to suspension and David Spiler is injured which means hosts will have two younger players in roster.

Zdenko Kordi, NEXE coach:
Vardar is a very big challenge for our team and a chance for another great handball experience for our fans who were excellent in last few games. Sport is meant for fans. As for Vardar, they are one of the best clubs in CL and SEHA League competing in SEHA F4 each season and aiming for CL F4 this year. They invest a lot of money in their team and have 3 great players on each position. Our goal is to keep as close as possible. I can't say if we'll surprise them and win like we did against Meshkov. In case we manage to deliver an amazing performance, give 150% of ourselves and they come out unfocused everything is possible.

Mirko Herceg, NEXE left back:
In the match against Meshkov we have proven ourselves and others that we can play against much better team. Vardar is probably better than Belarus team. I expect another good match and another good approach from us. That match will attract a lot of our fans agai and we want to find a way to victory. Why not?

Raul Gonzalez, Vardar coach:
We have to play NEXE in our next SEHA Gazprom league game, only a day after EHF Champions League visit in Zagreb. As a leader in this competition we know we are favorites but if we want to stay there we have to continue with wins. On the other side, NEXE have a quality team which is led by a good coach. They always play well, especially in front of their fans and if we want to win we have to show our best on Sunday.

Vlado Nedanovski, Vardar player:
NEXE is a very dangerous opponent with a mix of experienced and young players. They’ve showed their quality against Meshkov Brest. However, we’re in good form now and we’ll try to reach another win as we always do.
