Meshkov proceeds with 'Tour de Croatia'

Meškov na hrvatskoj turneji

Meshkov Brest

Only two days after a successful performance in EHF Cup and a victory against Dukla Prague NEXE will, as a part of SEHA Gazprom League, host Belarusian Meshkov Brest (Monday, October 17th, 18.00 CET). Team from Belarus also has a tight schedule. They have managed to beat Croatian champions on Saturday as a part of Champions League's fourth round. NEXE have certain roster problems with some players having minor health issues but they hope they will have all players on disposal for the duel against Meshkov. Belarusian champions are on the other side full of confidence after a win against PPD Zagreb but also fully aware of the fact that they have to respect NEXE in order to achieve good result.

Zdenko Kordi, NEXE coach:
Meshkov is a club wich makes progress every year. Also they invest in the team and have wish not only to be a part of Champions League but also to play an important role there. They are one of favorites in SEHA Gazprom League. Our match against Meshkov is another opportunity for all handball fans to see excellent players, for us in Croatia especially dear Vukic and Pesic, but also lots of other amazing players. I have a message for our fans: be our eighth player and support us when we play good, but also when we do not perform on our top level.

Damir Halilkovic, NEXE player:
We are aware of Meshkov's qualities. This is one of the most difficult games in this part of the season for us but I think we can and know how to play against both Meshkov’s defense and attack. Meshkov are favorites but we hope to achieve second win of the season. For that we’ll also need support from our fans which I hope will once again be there for us.

Sergey Bebeshko, Meshkov coach:
NEXE have played a good game in EHF Cup. The team has managed to reach next round and surely is in good mood. We did not have much time to prepare but they did not have it either. It is important to shift to SEHA League now as we’re eager to reach a better position. We don’t have injured players at the moment so I believe both Charapenka and Yaschenko will play on Monday.

Viachaslau Shumak, Meshkov player:
We will play our second game within three days and that will not be easy. Now we have to recover and play well against second Croatian team. Our aim is Final Four so we have to deliver and win in away matches as well.
