NEXE: Spiler and Lorger to keep the pace with the rest

Constant member of SEHA company and a team that has never dissapointed, finished second in Croatia last season, right behind PPD Zagreb. However, SEHA Gazprom League is rising and it is obvious that it affects NEXE, but they are managing to keep the quality level despite the fact that there are more and more very good opponents. There were more departures than arrivals before the season this year but that does not have to mean anything. Many things will depend on the possibility of reaching EHF Cup group phase.

Goalkeeper Martin Juzbasic has along with right winger Josip Crnic decided to leave Slavonia last season and look for new challenges in Germany. Luka Sokolic chose France and Tibor Jurjevic also decided that it is time to say goodbye.

There are three new faces but they will be big reinforcements for sure. Two Slovenians - experienced goalie Gregor Lorger and even more experienced middle back, especially speaking of SEHA League David Spiler, along with Croatian right back Borna Manci Micevic.

Interesting is that NEXE will be Spiler' fifth SEHA club after Celje, Zagreb, Meshkov and Metalurg.

Old faces who will lead the team this season as well are goalkeeper Perica Lelic, most important defensive figure Marko Mrdjenovic, experienced Vedran Zrnic and young Josip Bozic Pavletic on right wing, Albin Eter and Josip Nuic left. Back trio Marin Vegar - Mirko Herceg - Ivan Srsen is still here along with youngsters Gadza and Nenadic which proves NEXE will have a bench wide enough to keep up with the rest. New thing is also former captain and right winger Franjo Lelic leading the team from the bench as coach Zdenko Kordi's assistant.
