Each team shines in one half with Spartak securing points

Секому по едно полувреме, но бодовите ги освои Спартак Војпут

Maks Strumica - Spartak Vojput

Both teams - Maks Strumica and Spartak Vojput have had "their own 30 minutes" in SEHA Gazprom league' duel, but at the end guests from Subotica have taken 31-23 (12-16) victory after a complete turnaround in the second half.

Hosts did not use perhaps last good chance to win SEHA Gazprom league' match, and remained at bottom of the table. Spartak Vojput with this triumph now have 10 point which puts them next to Borac and Vojvodina.

Maks Strumica' hopes that they will finally celebrate were still alive after first 30 when they were 16:12 in front. Defense seemed to be solid, attack diverse as never before along with inspired goalkeeper Blagojce Trajkovski.

Igor Milosavljevic scored for 17-13 in 32nd minute and that was the beginning of the end and problems for home team. Milosavljevic received double suspension along with  Slavisa Dimitrievski and Macedonian Vice-Champion started to lose focus which was well visible on their performance. Spartak made 9:0 series in the end and it was impossible for Maks to once again kick them out of momentum and celebrate.

Marjan Andonov, Maks Strumica’ coach:

I will agree with my colleague from the rival team that we played great in the first half. I do not want to blame my players because we have only one roster, and it was expected to have downs in the game. This created a nervous moment. Nevertheless, I am pleased about what my players displayed. We have hope. I think we have a solution for the crisis. We are negotiating with three or four sponsors and I hope that will help.

Slavisa Dimitrijevski, Maks Strumica’ player:

I congratulate to my teammates. Only a few have stayed at the club despite of difficult situation. I hope we'll be much better after the New Year and solve all problems.

Branislav Zeljković, Spartak Vojput’ coach:

Congrats to hosts on the excellent performance in the first half, as they overplayed us and half-time result confirms that. They do not have enough players to compete at the moment. Of course I'm happy with the performance in the second half. We've entered the match a little timid, especially in defense and Maks Strumica' goalkeeper was great in that period.

Radule Radulović, Spartak Vojput’ player:

In the first half our defense was weaker. My teammates have then managed to speed up the tempo and play better which has in the end brought us some easy goals and a victory.
