Weakened Strumica clear underdog in Novi Sad

Prepolovljena Strumica s malim šansama u Novom Sadu

Vojvodina - Maks Strumica

Serbian champions Vojvodina Novi Sad are coming back to regional scene after the end of debut season in VELUX EHF Champions League, where they won fifth place in Group C. Nikola Marković' guys will try to win second match in a row in SEHA GAZPROM league after away victory on tough challenge in Subotica. Task will be much easier because their next rival Maks from Strumica (Wednesday, 19.30 CET) lost three more players.  Bozeovski, Kulenović and Čizmović left the team before the match.

Nikola Marković, Vojvodina' coach:

We've missed the chance to celebrate in Strumica. We need to take revenge for the first part of the season. Behind us is media excitement about the incident with the flight from Frankfurt to Belgrade which had a negative influence on players. Nonetheless, we must be ready to win.

Goran Trkulja, Vojvodina' player:

It's time for a third victory. We still have a theoretical chance for sixth place. We must fight to the end. I call fans to be our eighth player.

Marjan Andonov, Maks Strumica' coach:

Vojvodina have similiar qualities, as I said before the first match. I expected tight match as it was in Strumica, but the winners will be the team with smaller number of technical mistakes and better efficiency. I hope to see the match different from our clash with Vardar a few days ago. We are going for a positive result. I have a lot of injured players, unfortunately, we can't compose the roster as we wish, but that is situation in which we are working.

Zlatko Vezenkovski, Maks Strumica' player:

Vojvodina are on our level. We saw how they played three days ago in EHF CL match in Porto, when they lost with 20 goal difference. We can fight with them. WE are slightly weakened, but we will give our maximum for a good result.
