EHF Champions League – remarkable SEHA with 5 victories from 5 matches

Zagreb

SEHA Gazprom League's participants have had a terrific impact on results in EHF Champions League's round two. In five matches they have managed to reach all five wins with PPD Zagreb, Vardar and Meshkov leading their groups with maximum amount of points.

PPD Zagreb were in group A better than Celje in Slovenia with 20:21. Without their captain Zlatko Horvat, decisive for the big win were Filip Ivić' saves and Luka Stepančić' match winning goal.

Veszprem have, after parting ways with coach Carlos Ortega, under Xavi Sabate managed to beat Flensburg in group A derby for their first CL's victory of the season - 28:24. Momir Ilić was unstoppable scoring 9 goals.

In group B Vardar have after victory against Montpellier in France managed to reach another 2 points, this time at home versus Szeged. In the end 28:24 with traditionally good Arpad Šterbik between bars and Igor Karačić scoring 5 goals.

In group C Meshkov were in SEHA derby dominantly better than Tatran in Prešov with 30:20. Ljubo Vukić, Simon Razgor and Dzmitry Nikulenkau have netted 4 each and Antl was home team's best scorer with 5 goals.

Vojvodina have also managed to reach a victory, their first of CL's season, against Chehovskie Medvedi with 26:24. Marjanović was an enigma for Russian side scoring 11 goals.

In the next round PPD Zagreb will host Veszprem, Vardar will travel to Sweden to meet Kristianstad, Meshkov will play Chehovskie Medvedi in Russia, Tatran will be La Rioja's guests in Spain and Novi Sad will host the match between Vojvodina and Porto.
