Strumica and Meshkov looking to end the losing streak

Сите посакуваат победа, за прекин на лошата низа

Meshkov - Spartak Vojput

It is clear that both Maks and Meshkov have had certain hopes before the start of the season in a way of having a better start of it. Team from Strumica has only 1 point from 3 home-matches and Meshkov have lost both of their two opening matches.

For both teams this should be a turning point. Strumica will in their fourth home-match in a row host favorized Meshkov. Brest on the other side hope to finally reach a win after a bit surprising loss against PPD Zagreb (21:24) in the last round and start creating a winning mentality a team needs in order to compete on the highest level in both SEHA Gazprom league and EHF Champions League.

It is for now clear that Pavel Atman and Nikola Manojlović will miss the match due to injuries.

It is also important to note that besides live TV coverage on MRT (Macedonian Radio Television) You can follow the duel between Maks Strumica and Brest Meshkov on-line via following link: http://play.mrt.com.mk/epg/linear/3551

Marjan Andonov, Maks Strumica’s coach:

This is our fourth match in a row at home. Our opponents are quite a strong team and I believe it is not necessary to comment on their qualities. They are among 2-3 best teams in the League. I believe it will be an interesting match in which I am sure our players will fight until the final whistle. We have nothing to lose in matches like this.

Zlatko Vezenkovski, Maks Strumica’s player:

As our coach said, Meshkov are a good and experienced team with 16 players from different countries. We will not surrender, we will fight until the end. We’ve showed we can play against anyone in matches against Vardar and Tatran so on my behalf and behalf of all our players I can say we will do everything we can to surprise Meshkov.

Sergei Bebeshkov, Meshkov’s coach:

Health condition of some of my players is what worries me at the moment. Pavel Atman has not yet recovered and Nikola Manojlović has angina which means they will both stay in Brest. The same team which has faced PPD Zagreb will tomorrow face Strumica in an, I believe, difficult match. They have almost managed to take 3 points against Vojvodina, we’ve watched that match. They will tomorrow also surely have full support of their fans and it is great for us that we play such matches before CL’s challenges. We’re traveling to Macedonia to win!

Maxim Babichev, Meshkov’s player:

We are seriously preparing for this match. We will play against League’s rookies but we’re aware it will be a tough match. It is always difficult to playin Macedonia. Maks always play well in front of their crowd and on the other side we’d like to finally bring joy to our fans which means we expect triumph!
