Maks Strumica hope for a "second chance"

Макс Струмица се надева на „втора среќа“

Strumica

Last second goal has in Strumica's first SEHA Gazprom League match taken them 2 important points away. However, League's rookies are hoping to repeat good performance in their second match at home against Tatran from Prešov (Wednesday 17.45 CET) and reach victory they are hoping for.

Hosts have only had two days for rest and preparation and by that they will play without their best scorer Revaz Chanturija who was given a red card in season opener and will not be in roster against Slovak champions.

Tatran will also arrive incomplete, without their back player Oliver Rabek who stayed home after his back surgery. Guests are coming to Macedonia in good shape after winning Czech-Slovakian Cup proving good form.

Marjan Andonov, Maks Strumica’s coach:

We've taken that last second goal pretty hard, it is really not easy to have victory in your hands and then lose it in only few seconds. However, schedule is pretty tough and we've turned our heads towards the match against Tatran. They are a bit weakened since the last season and that's where we see our chance.

Slaviša Dimitrievski, Maks Strumica’s player:

We are aware of Tatran's qualities. Our goal is to play well and raise our game to a higher step. Certainly we will not give up.

Rastislav Trtik, Tatran’s coach:

We’ve come to Strumica without Oliver Rabek who is recovering from hernia surgery. Our opponents are rookies in the League and we believe their eagerness to show everyone what they can will help them play good and compete with better teams.

Tomas Čip, Tatran’s player:

After a longer pause and summer preparations we are ready to start this season. We are devoted to continue with good performances in SEHA Gazprom League. We’ll do our best to win in this first match against Strumica and open the season with 3 points. It won’t be easy but we have a good roster and I believe we’ll make it.
