SEHA Gazprom League's reigning champions, multiple Hungarian champions Veszprem will play their first match of 2015/16 season at home, in front of their supporters against Meshkov Brest in a replay of last season's final. Match is scheduled for the first day of September (18.00 CET).

Veszprem are waiting for the match fully motivated after winning Hungarian Supercup only a few days ago against their biggest rivals PICK Szeged with 26:24. On the other side, their rivals from Belarus are just starting a new era with coach Sergey Bebeshko who will surely do his best to at least repeat their previous results.

Antonio Carlos Ortega, Veszprem's coach:

I think SEHA League will be on the same good level like last year. There are four teams (Veszprem, Meshkov, Vardar and PPD Zagreb) which are on a higher level than others but I am sure there won't be easy matches, especially away. Schedule will again be very busy and we'll have to work hard and clever to prepare for all those tough matches.

Mate Lekai, Veszprem's player:

Tomorrow's match will surely be tough, especially with Meshkov being reinforced from the last time we met with Atman and Kristopans. We were not able to prepare much for this match, we've only had one training and we're aware we are not on our 100% yet. Anyway, I expect a win to open the new season in front of our fans.

Sergey Bebeshko, Meshkov's coach:

We have used matches on Belgazprombank tournament as well as League's first round against Serbian Spartak to prepare for this match. I expect my players to play responsible and repeat all good things they did in the first match of the season. We will also have slight roster changes with Charapenko replacing Pototsky and Atman instead of Kulak.

Maksim Baranau, Meshkov's player:

I think we're growing stronger from match to match. However Veszprem are serious rivals. They have won the League last season. We've met them three times last season losing all three matches. This time we will again do our best to reach positive result which, we are aware, will surely be hard in Veszprem.
