Meshkov remains in race for the third place, but will need triumphs in next four games. Otherwise they will have to wait for results of the other two teams, PPD Zagreb and Tatran Prešov.

Željko Babić, Meshkov's coach:

Our rivals have today showed why they are one of the best teams in Europe and I'd like to cogratulate them on a very good match. Speaking of us, we were not playing as good as we were in previous matches against PSG and Kiel. We were having really hard times finding a way to their net and we were not playing good in defence either. Opponent was too strong today but I also have to state that we have to work on our game, we have to improve it for upcoming matches.

Vitaly Charapenka, Meshkov's goalkeeper:

I'd like to apologize to our fans for a poor performance. This was our first match at home after almost three months and we were not looking good today. Veszprem's defence is great, it is really tough to play against them.

Carlos Ortega, MKB MVM Veszprem's coach:

Key for our win today was our defence. We've played a good match but we have some things to work on too, in preparation for CL's challenges. I am proud of my team. We've had some individual problems but we've today showed that it is not about individuals but about a team. It is great that we have managed to secure the first place but now we also have to prepare good for Final Four because each team will play best they can there and it won't be easy to beat anyone.

Istvan Schuch, MKB MVM Veszprem's player:

I am happy for the victory, this was a true teamwork. We've played good in defence and fast in transition scoring easy goals. It was harder than it looked.
