Meshkov in difficult mission against invincible Veszprem

Meshkov Brest-MKB-MVM Veszprem 3 14/15

After two defeats in EHF’s Champions League, Belarus champion Meshkov Brest are now completely focused on SEHA GSS matches, and main club target is to secure the third place. On the other side of the court tomorrow will stand invincible Hungarian Veszprem - the only team still without a loss in the League.

Meshkov are in the group of three clubs fighting for the third place, together with PPD Zagreb and Tatran Prešov, and in closing stage every point will be very important. So far, no one managed to ‘steal points’ from Veszprem and Meshkov are surely aware of how tough match they are about to face.

Želјko Babić, Meshkov’s coach:

- Veszprem are favorites in this match. They have already secured the place on F4 tournament but if we manage to play good anything can happen! For more than 25 years Veszprem are proving themselves as one of the best European teams and I believe Meshkov are on the right way to do the same. Our team will surely use this match great,  it is always important to play matches against high quality rivals. I can promise that tomorrow we'll play a very different match.

Dmitry Kamyshyk, Meshkov’s player:

- This match will be the first home match in 2015 for us. After two unsuccessful away matches in EHF Champions League we will try to show our best and make our fans happy.

Carlos Ortega, MKB-MVM Veszprém’s coach:

This will be another match without time for preparation for us. We will be able to practice only once, in Brest. Moreover we have some problems with our roster but despite of all that we've come to reach 3 new points.  Meshkov Brest are a good team, especially at home, they can cause difficulties for any team.

Cristan Ugalde, MKB-MVM Veszprém’s player:

This is a very difficult period for us playing in Montpellier on Sunday and now traveling to Belarus. We have almost no time to prepare. I expect a hard game because it will be important for both teams. We want to win to secure our first position and if we do we can be a little more relaxed against Zagreb and Vardar in upcoming two matches.
