Вардар се помачи за да победи

Vardar - Vojvodina 4 (14/15)

Current SEHA GSS champions Vardar have managed to make a step forwards towards securing the second place after the regular part of the season beating Vojvodina with 30:26. Macedonians now have nine points more than Croatian champions with three matches left to play.

It was harder than expected for Vardar whose minds are clearly already on a match against Montpellier. Vojvodina have on the other handb once again proved to be a tough opponent for anyone winning a point against Metalurg and now playing great against Vardar.

Guests were in lead through the bigger part of the first half but home team has with 5:0 series in the end reached +2 after first 30 minutes. Vardar were in the second half struggling to enlarge the goal gap but it was not easy against highly motivated guests. In the end unexpectedly 'narrow', +4.

Raul Gonzalez, Vardar’s coach:

In first 15 minutes Vojvodina have played well, and we did not play as we wanted. We've failed to score some easy goals. In the second half we were better, more organized creating the advantage.

Stefan Terzić, Vardar’s player:

This was a tough game for us, because we were traveling whole night on Saturday after the duel against Zagreb. All players have had their chance today, which was good. Now we have to focus on a match against Montpellier in CL which is really important for us. Vojvodina are always a tough opponent for us. They've play well and disciplined, and know how to "take care of the ball".

Vuk Lazović, Vojvodina’s player:

I want to congratulate my teammates, we've showed we have fighting spirit. We now have an important EHF's Cup match ahead of us and we will cetreainly have a lot of use from this match.
