Routine win for Metalurg

Рутинска победа за Металург

Metalurg - Borac

Metalurg has managed to secure three new points in SEHA GSS League after the victory against Borac 24:17 (15:10), victory that keeps them on League’s sixth position with 12 points.

Guests from Banja Luka were, due to injuries forced to come to Skopje without some of their most important players like Mikić, Obradović and Đukić giving chance to those who get less playing minutes.

After 7 minutes Metalurg was already leading leading with +4 (5:1) managing to keep that difference through the whole match slowly making it bigger. This match was a great opportunity for Naumče Mojsovski to return to court after being injured and ‘feel’ the court before tough matches ahead of Macedonian champions in the second part of the season. Hosts have once again given chance to their younger players like Neloski and Taleski giving Dimovski, Vugrinec and Atman a day off. Manaskov and Jonovski were also out of roster due to minor injuries.

Lino Červar, Metalurg’s coach

We’ve once again decided to give younger players a chance and my opinion that is the right thing to do, I really believe Neloski and Taleski should get more playing minutes to work on their potential and that’s why we’ll continue with our strategy. I believe we’ve played well today, with some downs to be honest but it was OK. We have to score more goals from penalties and we’ll work on that.

Stefan Taleski, Metalurg’s player

We were fully concentrated and preared for the match which is in my opinion visible on the result. We are team which knows how to use chances opponent gives us through the match. I was really happy to play in SEHA GSS League and I am looking forward to CL’s clashes.

Igor Rađenovic, Borac’s coach

Metaurg has played a perfect match. From the very beginning they were controlling the match with more than 5 goal difference. We’ve had many problems with defence today, especially in the first half before changing it to 6-0 in the second which was fine. We’ve also given some players who do not play so much a chance and we’ll do it more often in future.

Stanko Abadžić, Borac’s player

I am glad that our younger players got a chance to play against team like Metalurg. We can be satisfied with the second half. In the last few minutes of the game we weren’t concentrated and gained some goals but I believe we’re ready for challenges ahead of us.
