Serbian champions Vojvodina have finished their debut season in SEHA Gazprom South Stream League on seventh place. Seven victories and 21 points from 18 matches is their final score. They have missed their chance to compete for better places in the first part of the season when Momir Rnic' team was not playing on their best possible level.

Vojvodina has managed to take six out of their seven season wins against teams from the lower part of SEHA GSS League's table. "Red-white" from Novi Sad were better than Partizan, NEXE and Lovcen twice. The only win they have managed to take from matches against stronger opponents was the one against Vardar. They have sixth best defense and seventh attack of the league scoring 25.5 average goals per match.

Vojvodina’s left back Uros Elezovic had a key role in team’s performance during this season. He was one of the most important players in last their last year's domestic title race but also one of SEHA league's TOP scorers with 84 goals which puts him on sixth place. On the other hand, interesting fact is that former player of Partizan, Kadetten Schaffhausen, Paris and Cimos Koper, was 'the best' in one more category - red cards. He got two.

Days when Elezovic was not in form were problem for Vojvodina. Same situation was with their goalkeeper Miroslav Kocic whose good performances were base for many Vojvodina's important victories. Kocic was fourth goalkeeper called for Serbian NT during preparation for Men’s EHF EURO 2014.

Strahinja Stankovic also had a season full of affirmation. He was team's second best scorer with 63 goals. He showed TOP class performance in some matches, which were the reason why he got a call from Serbian "Eagles" head-coach Vladan Matic for some NT’s actions.

Miljan Pusica also deserved NT call based on his performances. Strong left back was the third scorer of the team with 56 goals and good in both, offensive where he was a good addition to Elezovic, and defensive tasks.

These four players were the biggest force of Serbian champions on their debut at regional competition.

With exactly 86% successful shots, line-player Zoran Nikolic was most accurate player this season. Former junior NT line player missed only six shots (36/42) in 18 matches.

Vojvodina began this season with Momir Rnic on the bench, but series of bad performances, made further partnership not possible. His assistant Dragan Kukic tried to raise the team in December, but as he was unsuccessful Vojvodina’s management was forced to appoint new-old coach, Djordje Cirkovic. Young coach had the main task to raise the level of the team and try to give a new boost of self-confidence before April 5th, when Serbian Play-Off begins.

The battle for the Serbian Championship trophy begins, for Vojvodina, against their biggest rival - Partizan. Match is scheduled for April 12th, between semi-final and final day of SEHA Gazprom South Stream League in Novi Sad hall "SPENS".
