Third win in a row for Vojvodina
Treća pobeda Vojvodine u nizu
Serbian champion Vojvodina continues with high level performances. Serbs won third time in a row - this time in Cetinje against Lovcen 28:25 (16:12). Team from Novi Sad celebrated again after home match against NEXE and away win against Vardar Skopje a few days ago. Serbian team secured position No.6 in SEHA Gazprom SSL with these three points.
Similar as in match against Vardar in Skopje, equal battle was seen in the first half in which Serbs were able to make 3:0 series with wing goals from Pilipovic and Ivanovic for advantage - 16:12.
Guest team’s good series continued until 34th minute when Miljan Pusica scored for the highest advantage - 19:13. Domestic team didn’t give up, with 4:0 series, team coached by Zoran Abramovic managed to get back in the match.
Montenegrian champions came on -1 (19:20 and 20:21) by goals of Popovic, the TOP scorer of the match with 9 goals, but Vojvodina’s right wing Mladen Ivanovic (6) with hat-trick made a clear advantage for his squad - 24:20.
Until the end of the match, Vojvodina routinely keep the distance and won the new points…

- We’ve given our maximum and despite of the fact we’ve missed trainings for 15 das we’ve managed to play good against a better team today.
Zoran Abramovic, Lovcen’s coach:
- Vojvodina deserved to win. Experience of the rival was decisive. A few easy goals decided rhytm of the match, but also longer bench and possibility to rotate more players brought the win to our rivals. We prepare now for domestic championship and match against Mojkovac next Tuesday, where we expect to win.
Mladen Ivanovic, Vojvodina’s right wing:
- We had 3-0 series before the match and we’ve known matches in Cetinje are always tough but we were able to control the match from the very beginning and have completely deserved to win.

- We had tough match tonight, because our rival has despite of everything given maximum. Our experience and their lack of fitness was decisive for the final result. I am satisfied with the our performance and hope that we wil continue winning series.
