For Meshkov Brest, the easiest task is to reach the final tournament and be among the best four teams in SEHA - Gazprom League. They are the second most successful team in history of the league according to the number of Final 4 appearances, participating in the league for 9 seasons and playing at the same amount of Final 4. But despite that, they have never reached the top. In this jubilee 10th season of SEHA - Gazprom League, for many, Meshkov is a serious candidate for the title.

In their 8 appearances, Meshkov reached the final twice (2014 and 2015) and won the bronze medal three times (2017, 2019 and 2020). Even when Brest hosted the Final 4 tournament (twice) Meshkov failed to reach the final, but had an opportunity to play for the bronze medal.

Players believe that they will break the bad tradition and bring joy to the fans, sponsors and all those who have had the patience for all their ups and downs.

The easiest part of the road is over, Meshkov reached Final 4. Now they have to make the final step. Meshkov have added some players and a new coach, but their goal remains the same – winning a title. Spaniard Dani Gordo sat on Meshkov's bench and took over the squad after Raul Alonso. His vision included only two new players, Baptiste Bonnefond and Stanislav Kasparek, while Razgor, Shkurinskiy, Obranovic and Panic left. Several youngsters will get a chance to play in Gordo's system.

This season, Meshkov did not play the group stage of SEHA League, but started directly with the Quarter-Final matches. The Belarus team won twice against Eurofarm Pelister with an easy 8-goal difference (31:27 and 35:31) on aggregate, routinely completing the tasks.

Last season, the Final 4 tournament was also held in Zadar, and Meshkov won the bronze medal. In the Semi-Final, they lost to Telekom Veszprem, whose players later lifted the trophy, but Meshkov got some satisfaction by beating PPD Zagreb in the third-place match.

Stas Skube
The only Meshkov player who has won the SEHA League title and EHF Champions League (both with Vardar). Although he is only 176 cm tall, he is one of the best playmakers in Slovenia, as well as being one of the elites in SEHA. Great “1 on 1” player and an even better passer. Organizer that every coach wants. This is his last season with Meshkov, and from the next 2022/2023 he will be a member of Kielce. Meshkov's game largely depends on his form. When he is in the mood, Meshkov easily score goals and win even easier.

Mikita Vailupau
- With 11 goals he scored in the second Quarter-Final match against Eurofarm Pelister in Brest, once again he showed that he is a pure scorer. He plays on the right wing, but if necessary he can also play as a right back. Fast and explosive on the counterattack, but most importantly – a goalscoring machine. Mikita Vailupau was the top scorer in SEHA - Gazprom League last year with 111 goals. He had a record-breaking 20 goal match in 2019 in Sabac versus Metaloplastika. It was similar against Eurofarm Pelister in Bitola, where Vailupau scored 14 goals from 17 attempts.
