Participants for the 10th SEHA – Gazprom League Final 4 announced

final 4

Following eight interesting Quarter-Final matchups, it is safe to say we have witnessed some of the best handball displays in the last ten days. Finally, we are proud to announce the participants of SEHA – Gazprom League Final 4 tournament. Telekom Veszprem, Meshkov Brest, Motor Zaporozhye and Vardar 1961 will fight for the podium in Zadar, Croatia from 3rd to 5th September.

First finalist, Telekom Veszprem, eliminated Nexe with 65:58 on aggregate after two thrilling matches where Gasper Marguc showed his quality with 15 goals from the same amount of shots. Motor Zaporozhye seemingly had the easiest job, since they passed their Quarter-Final test with a fifteen-goal difference. Tatran Presov didn't surrender until the final whistle, but Ukrainian side was just too strong for Slavko Goluza and his 16 men. Ivan Maroz had a successful two-day outing, stopping 17 shots and limiting the Slovak side to only 41 goals in 120 minutes.

Meshkov Brest got the best of Eurofarm Pelister in both of their clashes and went through with 66:58 on aggregate. Another left-handed wing sorted things out here, as Mikita Vailupov scored 6 goals in Bitola and finished it off with a monstrous show – shooting 11/11 at home. Last but not least, we have Vardar 1961 as the last team to earn a ticket for Zadar. Newcomer Ante Kuduz and veteran Timur Dibirov had an answer for every defense PPD Zagreb put in front of them. Dibirov ended the two legs with 12 goals, while Kuduz added 7.
