Second-half performance helps Eurofarm seal two points versus Metaloplastika
In the final SEHA Gazprom League match in 2020, Eurofarm Pelister were at home, with 30:26, better than Serbian Metaloplastika Sabac reaching a first win in a season which they are hoping will be a breakout one for them. Coach Babic and his guys are aiming for the final tournament and an opening night win is definitely a good first step towards achieving their goal.
Match was narrow from the very beginning with guests delivering a slightly better performance in the first half. After opening 30 minutes result was 12:14 in favor of Metaloplastika. Hosts however improved significantly in the second half opening it with 12:7 series which later proved to be the key to their final win. In a match with two completely different halves, home team Eurofarm eventually celebrated 30:26 win which helped them seal first two points of the season although Metaloplastika managed to deliver a really solid outing on the road, especially in the first half.
Josip Peric led them in this one with eight goals along with probably their biggest summer reinforcement Stipe Mandalinic who finished the match with six goals. Gradimir Canevski and Blagojce Trajkoski combined for 11 saves. Dejan Babic on the other side netted seven for Metaloplastika while Bomastar and Radisavljevic grabbed 13 saves together.
