Metalurg removed Stanić's suspension

Металург му ја укина суспензијата на Станиќ

Darko Stanic

Macedonian vice-champion Metalurg removed suspension their goalkeeper Darko Stanic got, after disciplinary committee found out that there was no basis for continuation of the process. According to club's statement, both sides managed to clear all misunderstandings.

Goalkeeper was suspended by the club after the match with Dynamo Minsk in EHF's Champions League and his refusal to enter the game. He on the other side continued training with the first team and did not miss a single match because the club did not play a game in that period .

The club from Skopje published Stanic's statement after a meeting.
- I had a long conversation with Metalurg's main sponsor. We have taken into consideration all problems and I am pleased to say that the common sense won and cleared all misunderstandings. I am aware of what I did on a match against Dynamo Minsk and I regret it, for the first time in my career. I'm happy to be completely back to club's competitive system, said Stanic.

This certainly is good news for coach Lino Cervar, who faces huge problems before two matches versus Vardar because Filip Mirkulovski, Pavel Atman, Vanco Dimovski, Ace Jonovski and Velko Markoski are injured and by that Nikola Markoski has measles .
