Changes in Vardar's team

Five-time SEHA Gazprom winners Vardar have decided to keep on with Spanish coaches in command. Their newest choice is David Jose Pisonero after Roberto Parrondo decided to continue his career as a head coach in Egypt national team.

Pisonero arrived from Valladolid, Spain where he has spent last 18 months. His playing career lasted for 12 years during which he used to play for Valladolid, Cantabria and Ademar Leon.

He led younger categories to Spanish Championship titles and was a part of Spanish youth national team on WCh in Egypt back in 1993. As a player, he managed to go all the way in the Asobal Cup twice - with Cantabria and Valladolid.
He finished his playing career in 2003 at the age of 30 due to an injury.

"I believe the club was looking for someone who believes in the same handball principles as coach Parrondo and I believe they chose well. Goal is to work hard every day and all the time be focused on the upcoming fixture. It's an honor to coach Vardar and be a part of the Champions League", said David Jose Pisonero.

On the other side, a couple of players from Vardar's golden generation will leave the club from Skopje. Janja Vojvodic's new club is Romanian CS Minaur. Dmitrij Kiselev will join Chekhovskiye Medvedi, while Gleb Kalarash is a new member in Motor Zaporozhye' squad.
