With another victory over Nexe, PPD Zagreb have concluded this season with the second domestic trophy after they have won Croatian Cup. Nexe finished second once again.

The final match in Croatian Championship did not bring many suprises. The reigning Croatian champions confirmed their domination in Croatian handball by winning 30:27 (17:13) over Nexe. The Lions were led by Ivan Srsen with 9 and David Mandic with 7 goals. On the other side, Ante Gadza netted 7 for Nexe.

It was a special match for some of the Lions who will say goodbye to Zagreb. Slovenian goalkeeper Urh Kastelic, Bosnian international Senjamin Buric, fantastic line player Leon Susnja, legendary Tin Kontrec and right back Nikola Potic are leaving the club following the end of the season.
