Meshkov Brest crowned Belarusian champions once again
Meshkov Brest have once again proved to be the most dominant force in Belarus securing their sixth title in a row finishing 17 points above SKA Minsk. In the final round, SEHA - Gazprom League participants were with 31:22 better than SKA Minsk winning grand total of 62 points which means they now have six Championship titles to go along with five Cup titles in last six years. By that, four of their players – Ivan Pesic, Maxim Baranau, Petar Djordjic and Sergei Shylovich were chosen in League’s All-Star team.
By that, Meshkov have also started preparing their roster for the next season when they will surely once again look to fight as hard as possible in all competitions. Apart of the fact they’ve already prolonged contracts with Simon Razgor, Maxim Baranau and Artsiom Selviasiuk and confirmed signing of Slovenian international Jaka Malus and former French national team player William Accambray they have also announced signing of 24-year-old Belarusian right winger Nikita Vailupau who is arriving from SKA Minsk where he was once of the best scorers in the entire League in last three seasons. Vailupau is Belarusian national team player and will most certainly be a good reinforcement for the team from Brest next season. On the other side, Sime Ivic will continue his career in German's Erlangen.
