“Matter of motivation and preparation”: Meshkov and Vardar talk about the semi-final

Players and coaches of Meshkov Brest and Vardar have talked about the upcoming semi-final of both teams at the Final 4 of the SEHA-  Gazprom League on Tuesday at Viktoriya Arena at Brest during the media call on Monday.

Stojanche Stoilov, Vardar player:
Both teams will be quite tired, but it will be a matter of motivation and preparation. Both teams know well. But even when you are tired, you have to show character. We have made it to the final tournament for the eighth time, and we are always playing to win the trophy. So I hope we can win the title for the fifth time, but Brest are a strong opponent. I do not think that hosting the event is such a great advantage. But we will see.

Timur Dibirov, Vardar payer:
Brest had a tough Champions League match on Sunday at Flensburg, we could rest one day more. But definitely the fans will push Meshkov to the limit, this can be an important fact. I expect a close match with 50:50 chances.

Simon Razgor, Meshkov Brest player:
We hope that we have some little advantage, as we play at home. Our fans will hopefully give us a great support against Vardar. Two years ago, we faced Veszprem in the semi-final on home ground, now I guess that Vardar is not that strong as Veszprem was in 2017. It is our dream to make it to the final. Both teams have played Champions League matches last weekend, but now we have to switch immediately.

Andrej Yurinok, Meshkov Brest player:
I guess the chances are 50:50, both teams count on strong players, both sides know each other very well. I hope for the support of our fans and that we have an advantage as host. Though we only have two days to recover from the Champions League match at Flensburg, I hope we can make a present to the 1000th anniversary of Brest by making it to the final.
