Four games which will decide everything for Meshkov

Meshkov

In case Belarusian champions Meshkov Brest want to play on this season’s SEHA Final 4 tournament they need to win their remaining four regular season games starting from Tuesday (18.30 local time) when they will host Vojvodina.

In the last round of EHF Champions League Meshkov managed to defeat German Rhein Neckar Löwen once again proving to be in great form at the moment. In the game against Vojvodina they will most likely look to build up self-confidence and get even better for final three matches in which they will play Vardar, PPD Zagreb and Nexe.

Vojvodina on the other hand started the second part of the season off with a great performance at home against Vardar. They have 16 points at the moment and are out of F4 race but will most certainly look to play their best and see what that gets them against favored opponents.

Manolo Cadenas, Meshkov Brest coach:
Every match is important now. We need points in order to make yet another step towards SEHA F4. We delivered a quality performance against Löwen on Saturday and will look to keep the same energy against Vojvodina. Main goal is to avoid injuries and prepare for what’s ahead.

Andrei Yurinok, Meshkov Brest player:
We respect every opponent. It won’t be easy to defeat them, we know they managed to beat our younger team in Novi Sad in our first encounter of the season. That’s why you can be sure we’ll take them seriously. Three points are a ‘must’ for us in this one.

Boris Rojevic, Vojvodina coach:
We still don’t know who will be able to suit up for this one. We’ll play a great team, one of the best in SEHA League which has good chances of securing Last 16 phase of CL. They are prepared well and are capable of running the court throughout the full course of the game. Our biggest challenge will be to see whether we’re capable of running the court as well as they are.

Rajko Prodanovic, Vojvodina player:
I played in Brest and I know what kind of a team they have. It’s a quite compact roster but I see it as another chance for our young team to prove what it is capable of. We’ll definitely give everything we have to deliver best possible performance.
