7 meters: Srđan Trivundža (Borac M:tel)

Srdjan Trivundza

1M What are Borac's expectations for this season?

Club will use this season to make the whole situation more stable and better. Result will not be so important but of course we will do our best to make the way to better days easier by winning matches.

2M You have played in Spain, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina… Can you compare those leagues with today's SEHA GSS league?

I believe SEHA is really good and competitive league now with strong clubs like Zagreb, Vardar, Metalurg whose results are visible also on European level. Spanish league was the only one on a higher level but SEHA is on the right way even to reach Bundesliga's quality.

3M Why have you even started playing handball? Which are your biggest achievements so far and are you planning to stay close to handball after your playing career?

Banja Luka has always been strong handball city which is probably the main reason why I have chosen this sport. Back then it was hard to find someone who didn't know anything about handball which is sadly not the case today.

Speaking of the biggest career achievement I would underline playing for Yugoslavia's young National team and domestic championships with Zvezda, Celje and Borac.

I haven't made my plans about future yet but who knows…

4M Banja Luka has really always been handball city. Where has that enthusiasm this city had in the past for handball gone?

That is exactly Borac's biggest problem today. People are not interested so much in handball anymore and that's why we have no players, coaches and in the end success. Other clubs are now teaching us how to become a big club, exactly like we have taught them in the past.

5M SEHA GSS has this season become much better than before. Who do you see as Final 4 candidates and in the end as the champion?

Macedonian clubs are in my opinion main candidates. By them important roles will play Zagreb and Tatran.

6M In which way can SEHA in the future become even better, in your opinion?

Going out, in Europe, would give this league a whole new dimension. There would surely be more spectators and even the matches would be played on a higher level.

7M How to bring the crowd back to handball in Banja Luka?

People here are wishful for good handball or any other sport. Borac able to play against Zagreb, Vardar and others would surely bring people to Borik fast and easy.
