SEHA Season 8 records and milestones

Kristopans

We are still a couple of days from next matches, so the time is right to take a look at how the season went by from a different perspective. These players will definitely remember the start of the season based on their personal accomplishments.

We have to start with Dainis Kristopans. The Latvian achieved two historic successes this season already. First in Round 1, the Vardar right back became the all-time leading scorer of the SEHA – Gazprom League. He surpasses Radoslav Antl, with whom he played with in Tatran Presov. The former Tatran and Meshkov player, Kristopans recently also became the first ever player with 600 goals in SEHA – Gazprom League.

Kristopans’ teammates, the Croatian duo in Vardar, Igor Karacic and Ivan Cupic also had a special memory of the start of the season. Igor Karacic recorded his 100thSEHA appearances and Ivan Cupic scored his 100thSEHA goal. Both of them have only played for Vardar in the SEHA – Gazprom League.

A record was equalised recently and it is truly amazing. The 18-year old Martin Serafimov from Metalurg scored 9 goals from 7-meter line in a loss against Zeleznicar. The young right back equalised a record previously held by Veszprem’s Momir Ilic. Serafimov proved that the future is bright in Metalurg.

Jakub Hrstka from Tatran Presov continued his terrific form that he enjoyed the last several years. The Czech left winger scored his 400thSEHA goal against Metalurg. Hrstka is one of those players that have been around for a very long time and is a key piece of Tatran Presov’s squad.

Maksim Baranau from Meshkov Brest had an unbelievable start to the season. The Belarusian right wing netted his 200thSEHA goal right at the start of the season. He was included in Best 7 of September and continues to be a reliable option for Meshkov Brest.

A couple of good team accomplishment were notable as well. Nexe beat PPD Zagreb for the first time, Vojvodina did the same against Meshkov Brest. Steaua Bucuresti scored 42 goals against Meshkov, which is the most that the Belarusian champions have ever conceded in the SEHA – Gazprom League.

So many good moments, a very nice season is behind us already!
