Can Nexe make a new surprise in Skopje?

Metalurg Nexe

Croatian vice-champion Nexte made big surprise in Saturday, winning a point versus Metalurg. Is the team prepared for a new surprise? New challenge tomorrow (20,15 SRC Kale, MTV live) is Vardar, actual Macedonian champion, current SEHA GSS league runner up.

Last season Next twice leaving Skopje with points. Already reach "half" of job, and enter into game with similar expectations. Vardar will be without its coach Zoran Kastratovic, after club sponsor fired him one day before match versus Croatian vice champion. On bench tomorrow will be Andon Boskovski, current assistant.

Game is important for Nexe, but Vardar decide to rest some of their key players, like Dibirov, Brumen, Angelov and Rastvortsev. Club management believes that they should be rest for Sunday game versus PSG in EHF Champions League.

- We will play that match without some players that have to rest, including Dibirov, Brumen, Angelov, Rastvorcev and some others, and without injured Karacic. They should be ready for the match against PSG at Sunday", said Sergej Samsonenko, president of Vardar

For Andon Boskovski, this will not be a shock. Last year he also led team in crucial minutes together with Stojan Petrusevski versus Metalurg in battle for championship trophy after Veselin Vujovic get red card from referees.

- This week is one of our hardest, because we are all looking for the Sunday‘s game versus PSG. We have to play our best against Nexe, because we know it will be not an easy task. Wee have to play at the highest level, we must give more than 100% to win this game, said Andon Boskovski.

"Red-black" return to winning track, easily exceeding surpassing losing by Tatran (34-37) on Wednesday in Skopje. On Saturday, Vardar celebrates in Novi Sad (30-21).

Tomorrow game is coming just before very important EHF Champions League match against PSG. I hope that those players that will be rest will have time for refresh for the Sunday game. I expect Vardar to win, although Nexe is a team, which is hard to beat, said left hand Vladimir Petric.

Vardar spent one day for travel from Novi Sad to Skopje, as Nexe stay in Macedonian capital afer played duel versus Metalurg. From that point of view Nexe have fresher players.

- Metalurg and Vardar are two teams in a large expansion, both clubs participating in the EHF Champions League where they have excellent results. Both teams have great financial support and are team made by top players. Tomorrow we play versus Vardar and we will have perhaps more difficult match than those from Saturday. We will fight on similar way like against Metalurg, and need to to play smart and with maximum dedication. Anyway, tomorrow we have a good and tough game in which we have nothing to lose because we are playing against the top team, said Sime Ivic, Nexe right back.
