Becic: ‘We’re ready to give 150% in Nis!’

Zeleznicar - Izvidjac

In an interesting clash scheduled for Tuesday (19.00 CET) in Nis, Zeleznicar will welcome Izvidjac Ljubuski. Home team entered the season with big ambitions led by coach Veselin Vujovic but situation did not turn out to be just the way they wanted it as they suffered a few tough early SEHA League defeats to go along with Serbian Super Cup match loss against Vojvodina Novi Sad 20:26 making the encounter against Izvidjac Ljubuski a perfect chance for them to get back on the right track and restore self-confidence levels. Guests are on the other hand having a fine season so far proving the fact they are rising from match to match with a 27:27 draw against Metalurg in Skopje last week.

Veselin Vujovic, Zeleznicar coach:

We will not have much time to prepare for the match as we’re dealing with quite tough schedule after our domestic Super Cup but we have what we have and an important encounter is ahead of us. Izvidjac are one of our main rivals in SEHA League, judging by the current standings, but what’s more important for us than a positive result in the end is to improve, find the right motivation and get all the little things to function way better.

Nemanja Zivkovic, Zeleznicar player

We’ve only had two days to rest and prepare for this match but I believe the time has finally come for us to defeat someone at home and win first SEHA points. Izvidjac are not among the best teams in this league and I think we can beat them, especially in front of our fans.

 Mario Bjelis, Izvidjac coach:

We’ll play against a team which has not managed to win a single point so far although they were hoping for some better results. They however have quality, good coach and I believe we’re up to a tough one on Tuesday. It’s clear we’re not going to surrender, try to deliver our best performance and see what it brings us in the end.

Anes Becic, Izvidjac player:

SEHA is a great opportunity and challenge for us. We are well-prepared for the match against Zeleznicar in my opinion. It is however clear host will be highly motivated and look to win the match as they are under some kind of pressure after a poor start of the season. We will on the other hand try to give 150% in Nis and play to win of course!
