EHF Cup qualification Round 1: SEHA newcomers start their EHF Cup campaigns

There are no days off for SEHA – Gazprom League teams. Both new teams- CSA Steaua Bucuresti and Zeleznicar 1949 will be in action in Round 1 of the EHF Cup.

Zeleznicar will be the first team to hit the court, as the Serbian vice-champions host Handball Kaerjeng from Luxembourg. The first match of the double-header will be played in 'Cair' in Nis, which will be Vujovic's second official match in charge. The Serbian vice-champions will be motivated to play better than they did against Vojvodina, after a tough loss in the opening match of the SEHA – Gazprom League. The match is scheduled for Saturday, September 1st at 18:30, followed by the second one in Luxembourg next weekend, on Sunday, September 9th at 18:00.

The second newcomer of the SEHA – Gazprom League- CSA Steaua Bucuresti, will play their first match against the Croatia side Varazdin 1930. The Romanians are definitely traveling to Varazdin with high hopes, after opening the 8th SEHA season with a fantastic win against the EHFCL side Tatran Presov in Bucharest. The first EHF Cup qualification round 1 match versus Varazdin 1930 is scheduled for Sunday, September 2nd at 19:00. The rematch in Bucharest will be on Sunday, September 9th at 17:00.
