Vardar in problems – Stoilov with a broken palm
A couple of days before the start of the 8th edition of the SEHA - Gazprom League, the reigning champions Vardar are facing injury problems. Captain Stojance Stoilov injured his palm and the first information is that he suffered broken bones.
Vardar participated at a tournament in Strasbourg, France. Macedonians drew 33-33 in the first game versus PSG. Later they lost to Meshkov Brest and HBC Nantes. According to club information Stoilov got injured in the first half in a duel with Luka Karabatic. He missed the second half and medical examinations confirm the fracture.
More details will be available after the club returns to Skopje, but it is certain that this injury will keep Stoilov off the court for at least a few weeks.
Reigning SEHA champions have problems with injuries. Igor Karacic and Vuko Borozan missed the tournament in France, and Karacic also did not play in friendly games in Germany and the Macedonian Super Cup.
On August 29, Vardar will host Metalurg in the first round of the SEHA League in SC ''Jane Sandanski''
