Rade Mijatovic leaves Meshkov Brest and joins Ferencvaros
After two seasons with Meshkov Brest, Rade Mijatovic has joined Ferencvaros in Hungary. The experienced Montenegrin was a reliable option behind Ivan Pesic, appearing in two consecutive Final 4 tournaments with the Belarusian club.
The 36-year old goalkeeper had some terrific moments in Belarus, as he recorded 157 saves in a total of 30 SEHA – Gazprom League appearances for Meshkov Brest. Mijatovic even managed to score eight goals over two seasons, four of them coming this season, second with goalkeepers only behind Urh Kastelic. Before Meshkov Brest, Mijatovic played for many different teams, including Tatabanya, Dinamo Minsk, Partizan, Crvena Zvezda and Metalurg, with whom he also competed in the SEHA – Gazprom League. The Montenegrin goalkeeper recorded 83 saves in 12 appearances with the Macedonians, and that was the only time he missed out on the Final 4 in his SEHA career.
