Vardar caution against Tatran

Brest - Vardar

After a hard week in Belarus, when Vardar first lose CL game from Dinamo Minsk, and then beat Meshkov Brest, for Macedonian champion start two months of playing game each Wednesday and Saturdays. First serious rival today inSkopje (SRC Kale, 17.45 MTV live) is Tatran Presov, in round 4 in SEHA GSS league.

Slovakian champion is always unpleasant opponent for Vardar, even came with several players' injuries. Same problems have Vardar also, but only player that will miss game is middle back Igor Karacic. He has a problem with his shoulder. Ilija Abutovic is return in the team and others 15 players from last game versus Meshkov again will be on court.

Our club agreement is that all three goalkeepers travel to Belarus has to rotate. Some players need more matches to stay in form, and for this game, Aldave Malumbres and Petar Angelov will be on goal line. Every one will get their chance to keep form on high level, said Zoran Kastratovic, coach of Vardar.

Macedonian champion collected enough information for his rival, not only video, but also verbal from Dinamo Minsk and Meshkov Brest coaches.

Last season Tatran won in Skopje, 33-29, and in rematch in Presov was 28-28, and Vardar had to remain undefeated in the game for place in SEHA Final 4 tournament.

Captain Filip Lazarov is one of the few players who played the previous two seasons in SEHA GSS league for Vardar, so he have know what to tell to his new teammates on the rival strength

In Skopje comes extremely strong team that is play a long time together and in almost unchanged squad, and play handball that we do not fit. When we least expect they beat us in Skopje, and it was uncertain game in Presov. They are extremely strong team, and we will have to pay attention to all players to explain them about the seriousness of the game. This is duel that we want to win and as quickly as possible to reach place of F4, and to focus on other competitions, said Lazarov

Tatran has problems with players injuries. Goalkeeper Svetislav Verkic remained in Slovakia, and the second goalkeeper Jacob Krupa is also injured and uncertain. Peter Tumidalski complained of knee problem and Michal Urban recovering from shoulder surgery.

Vardar sign several Russian players. Team roster compared to the previous season, has much changed. Now they are certainly superior. So nothing easy expecting us in Macedonia. We're going to achieve a good result, said coach Peter Hatalcik.
