Raul Gonzalez to leave Vardar at the end of the season
Raul Gonzales will after the end of the season leave Vardar and succeed Zvonimir Serdarusic as head coach of French side Paris Saint Germain - team he defeated in Champions League final back in June leading 'Red&Black' towards a historic success - European title.
Gonzales will leave Skopje but his huge mark will stay there forever as made sure Vardar and citizens of Skopje lived some of their best handball days while he was in command of the club. He led Vardar towards two SEHA Gazprom League titles along with EHF Champions League throne. Raul signed a three-year contract in PSG but will remain Macedonian national team coach as he will lead the team on Croatian EURO in January of 2018 as well as in qualifications for both WCh 2019 and EURO 2020.
Vardar will this weekend travel to Sweden to play Kristianstad in EHF Champions League Round 6. They also have two SEHA Gazprom League matches scheduled for November - at home against Dinamo Pancevo and on road versus Nexe.
