Slavko Goluza, Tatran Presov coach:
I feel like in the end luckier team went all the way grabbing the victory in this one. We’ve given everything we’ve got into this game preparing really thoroughly for it. I’m glad it was until the very end visible that our players believed they could beat Meshkov which they eventually did. I personally expected such a close encounter and it is clear this result will boost our self-confidence ahead of CL Qualifiers ahead of us. We have to regenerate in the best possible way and I’m sure we’ll play the tournament in the best possible manner ahead of our fans who I believe will come and support us in our mission to qualify for Champions League’ group stage. I wish Meshkov all the best in both SEHA - Gazprom League and Champions League.

Dominik Krok, Tatran Presov player:
It was an exciting match from the beginning all the way until the end. We’ve managed to decide it in the end with excellent defense and amazing Igor Chupryna between the posts. Coach told us to show fighting spirit and common sense playing fully focused and we’ve proved we are capable of following his instructions. We were in the end a bit luckier and it feels great to beat such a team like Meshkov.

Sergey Bebeshko, Meshkov Brest coach:
I’d like to congratulate Tatran on their victory. I believe we did not deserve to lose this as it was a very close and equal game. We missed a bit of pure sports luck in the end but that’s how it ends sometimes. We now have to prepare for other games and move on.

Rastko Stojkovic, Meshkov Brest player:
It was a good game which Tatran fought very well in. They were really lucky in the end. I believe we deserved at least a point but now we have to forget about this and move on, prepare for upcoming matches and try to win them. Our goal is to reach Final Four this season.
